We offer intra-articular joint injections with various medications including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). Intra-articular injection is a sterile procedure utilized to alleviate joint pain and inflammation. Corticosteroids are still the most commonly used medication class for this procedure due to their inexpensive price, and quick and reliable results. However, advances in medicine have provided us with better options. Platelet Rich Plasma uses the body’s own healing properties to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and regenerate cartilage and other tissues. We are able to harvest PRP from your horse’s blood, using a special collections kit and centrifuge. We then inject the PRP into your horse’s joint(s), We are able to do this at your horse’s location.
